Last year I saw a post about taking one photo each day and posting it. Sounded simple and easy…right????????????

There is this word called commitment that comes to play…”I hate commitments!”

“Commitment causes completion”

If you pretend to make a commitment from the position that you have to, you are merely setting up circumstances to justify breaking your commitment. You get to have an excuse like, “well the timing was wrong, or I was too busy.” State one, because any excuse works…

You make commitments with your Self.

It has to do with completing the cycles of life. Acceptance is the beginning of any cycle – commitment allows those cycles to complete. Until you complete any cycle you start, you are never actually finished with it. the incompleteness of it will live within you always.

I cannot tell you how many times I have looked back at those unfinished cycles…not as regrets, but as wonderment. What would it be like if “my life” actually worked. If the cycles were completed…

So maybe it’s time to keep the bed made, the garage cleaned and have those relationships. The nature of life is that it comes in cycles. If I want that sense of completion in life, I will have to complete those cycles by keeping my commitments – knowing that I really don’t have to. Knowing that no one can make me. I can choose to be incomplete and pay the price…

There is a time and a season for all things…

Word of warning…once you make a commitment to something…”stuff” happens.

Let the fun begin…

Be brave, be clear, and be sincere and keep laying down words, Rick. Nice to see for 2012. Be well.
